You should take absolute care and caution if you plan to attempt cleaning your solar panels. The height of the solar panels make cleaning them a major safety issue as you will likely need to climb onto the top of your roof.
You should also factor in the chemicals, equipment and whether the roofing materials are sturdy enough. We highly recommend leaving the solar cleaning to a professional service to avoid any injuries and damage to your panels or the roof.
There are many factors to consider in the case of how often you should have your panels washed. You need to consider the area that you live, the amount of debris, rain, dust or other contaminants which frequently land on the solar panels.
Maintaining the panels could be needed less or more frequently. We would generally consider 6-12 months to be an adequate time frame between services.
No! You won’t need to do anything to prepare. All we ask is that you remove any obstacle that may block us from accessing your roof and panels.
The rest is up to us! We will arrive at a time which suits you and will always do our best to avoid disruption to your home or business activities.
Once we are done you will be left with sparkling clean panels and a much higher energy output!
We’ll put up signs around the area we’re working in to keep customers and employees safe, along with following public and EPA environmental safety laws.
WHAT IS SOFTWASH CLEANING?
Everyone knows what high-pressure washing involves – hitting something full strength with high water pressure.
Well, softwash cleaning is the opposite! And although it’s a new concept in Australia, it’s been widely used in the UK and USA for over 20 years.
Using a special formula soap (that’s perfectly safe for pets and plants), surfaces are gently sprayed. After leaving it to do its magic, a low-pressure hose is used to rinse off the surface, leaving you with a fresh and clean surface.
It’s perfect for all surfaces and a great alternative other than the traditional high-pressure washing methods.
